What’s a Chapbook?
Chapbooks were small, cheap books that were quite popular in the sixteenth through nineteenth centuries but haven't been seen much since then. The original chapbooks included everything from songs and poems to ghost stories to natural disasters. In 1992, we at Yellow Tulip Press decided it was time to revive this fine format.
Our version of the chapbook is 6 by 9 inches and about 50 to 60 pages long. It's just the right amount of space to cover the topics we like investigating, such as whether Lizzie B. did the dreadful deed, whether Queen Victoria was a vampire, and other curious questions. All our chapbooks are cleverly designed and full of actual historical illustrations. We've also started branching out with some fiction and poetry titles.
